battle strategy notes
Horses are of course modes of transportation used by cavalry. "like a cloud covering the land" seems to indicate a mass of people that seems to block visibility of the land beneath their feet from an aerial view.
So why is this important? Well consider the options that Israel Iran, Turkey and Moscow have to go to war with each other.
First of course is nuclear. The one thing that Israel has in its favor is its geographical position. It is to the west of Iran and Iraq. What this means is that nuclear fallout would generally follow a west to east pattern. I say fallout because Israel's missile shield is one of the most advanced. If a projectile was shot anywhere outside of Israel towards Israel it could be shot down before it hit Israeli airspace. Therefore nuclear fallout would generally float to the east. This would negatively affect Syria, Jordan and Iraq. If these countries are least helping the spearpoint of the ITR(Iran Turkey Russia)coalition. So it can be assumed that they would have some say over not having their countries affected.
But two points prevent me stating that a nuclear attack is not out of the question. (1)The fact that Iraq is in an active coalition with the US. Fallout on US soldiers means victory for the ITR. This could also have an even more negative result of breaking a partnership with the US if fallout lands on US soldiers stationed on an military installation. (This could occur if the missile was launched from withing Iraq, Jordan or Syria)The US government could wrongly fault Israel for shooting down a missile which would cause such fallout to occur. The US then withdraws its support of Israel because of this incident.
(2) Another related point is that if an nuclear missile does explode over Iraq or Iran. An emp would occur. EMP stands for Electro Magnetic Pulse. This pulse could render any electronic device unuseable. We now have old warfare schemes. An attack plan that is reduced to a massive land invasion with limited communications systems and low tech warfare. In order for this land invasion to work, it would have to be quickly and done. Basically a surprise encounter. With today's technology that would be near impossible. So basically two scenarios for this to happen. (Scenario A) the overwhelming force of the hordes of attackers is too much to plan to stop before they reach israeli borders or (Scenario B) any EMP's knock out (geo stationary)satellites in that area.
Again what about the US and Israel other allies? Is there some sort of Economic or political reasons for not joining in to help its ally Israel?
A third scenario which is actually seeming more likely due to the arrogance of the Iranian Leaders is this. Since they feel that the coming of their Mahdi signals global victory for Iran and Islam alike and since this coming is predicated on or in conjunction with a period of extreme violence against Israel, it would seem that Iran would throw everything that they can against Israel to destroy it, without regard to political affiliations and cooperation among countries. Because they feel that doing this amount of damage and destruction would ultimately bring their ultimate weapon, the Mahdi to avenge all.
Iran makes no bones about getting nukes. Buying them or gaining material for nuclear energy, or just stating when they are red handed that they should have the same right as others to be nuclear superpowers.
So a launch of nuke(s) towards Israel with a immediate follow up ground invasion could occur. This would mean a sacrifice of his invading hordes. But Iran's leaders probably feel that this is just what the Mahdi ordered.

The beginning of the start.
I have to say, starting out on my first blog entry on this subject will be quite overwhelming. I mean considering the fact that there is so much information out there that thas to be digested and viewed in the correct light and the fact that so much is going on in the world let alone the politics and the current events happening in the United States.
But here it is a discussion of the upcoming Israeli war as seen through the filter of Ezekiel 38 and 39.
The major players: Israel, Iran, Russia, and Turkey.

The first question, "Well what about the United States?"
Answer: The United States is not specifically mentioned in the Ezekiel Text. Some suggestion for US involvement come about in the Ezekiel 38:13 passage. Where the United States and other nations(England and Canada) maybe referred to as the young lions. Their only involvement is to ask questions as to whether or not the invaders of Israel are invading Israel for plunder. This begs the question, "Why?"
The US has long been an ally of Israel formally since its recognition as a independent state in 1948. So what gives? A couple of different scenarios, (1) The United States takes a standoff approach and neither defends Israel nor chastizes it but instead lets Israel fend for itself. This could be similar to the non involvement approach taken by the US during the beginning of World War II. It is interesting to note that Roosevelt was the president during US entrance into WWII and Obama could very well be president during the Exekiel War. Obama is seen as a more extreme follower of Roosevelt progressive socialist agenda. So is progressivism a ideological rebuttal to Israel's existence? It may be possible since the United States has deep ties to the Old Testament Jewish form of government as the basis of democratic republic fromthe Noahic laws of the Hebrews. And Progressivism as defined by the US politburo is against capitalism, free market, and responsibility for actions. For a more in depth read check out the book "The 5000 year leap" by Skousen. Find it on Amazon
(2)The United States could be in bad economical shape. Moody's has given the United States 3-4 years before the dollar loses its value due to a lower credit rating. (CNBC 10/22/09)If a drop in the credit valuing of the United States happens, it starts a negative chain reaction that affects the residents of the United States as well as the world. The US dollar will not be held as the global reserve currency, reducing demand for the dollar and therefore driving prices up for US consumers from consumable pricing to mortgage rates. Also the liquidity of the dollar will dry up, causing the purchasing power of the dollar to decrease even more. The US at this point will too focused on preventing internal turmoil or even collapse than collaborating on a defensive effort with Israel.
So if America doesn't pursue a defensive policy against Israel's invaders then it is fairly likely to say that the rest of the Western Northern Hemisphere wont either. This would also include Britain, who is suffering economies woes of its own. Europe is questionable. When an situation like this that could propel the world to another world war it seems probable that the European Nations would act as a solid EU and speak as one on this. I would tend to think that their economic woes and internal politics of anti-semitism, (which is ironic considering Germany's History) would prevent them from taking any active part in the defense of Israel. In, fact Russia, Turkey, and most middle eastern nations may act as a bloc and trade oil for neutrality from the other powerful nations.
So where does that leave the Situation? Israel by itself facing seemingly overwhelming odds against a collaboration of enemies wanting to exterminate them.
I hope to have weekly analysis of the Ezekiel war as well as current events plays into the build up. Please feel free to comment.
